Going on vacation!

I'll be leaving for vacation after I shoot a wedding today! I'll return to shoot a couple of weddings on the weekend of September 8/9th, but probably won't get a chance to respond to any emails/inquiries until September 10th. I'll post some fun new stuff when I return :)

New Look!

I'm very excited about my new 'look' thanks to the talented Brittany at Eiffel Printing and Design. She custom designed my new logo and I love it! If you're looking for custom invitations, programs or just about anything paper for your event you should contact her, she's very talented!

Stephanie & Steve's Wedding - Sunset Sailing

I'm skipping the sneak peek images because I've been too busy to post lately! So, instead we're going right to the slideshow. Stephanie and Steve married on a beautiful sailboat in Seattle, it was so fun and unique! Their ceremony was perfect for them and it was very touching to see how happy, joyful and in love they are. I'm so glad they asked me to photograph their wedding, it was a lot of fun and I got to go on a gorgeous evening sail...two things I love :)

Married: Casey & Jim

This wedding was so much fun for me! Casey is a friend of mine from college and it was such a joy for me to capture this amazing day in her life. She and Jim are a fantastic match and I'm so excited for them and their new life together! My husband, Andrew and friend, Matt also sported my spare cameras and got some shots as well, so I can't take credit for all of the candids because I had help.

3 weddings in 3 days!

I had quite the busy weekend... I photographed three beautiful and unique weddings this weekend and I have the blisters on my feet to prove it! My weekend began with Stephanie and Steve's unique wedding on a sailboat. Their closest friends and family joined them on a chartered sail from Seattle. Their intimate and emotionally rich ceremony was beautiful! Then my husband and I set off early the next morning for Spokane to photograph Michelle and Nick's gorgeous wedding. Their wedding was held on the beautiful grounds of EJ Robert's Mansion and was a rich celebration of their thirteen years together! The next morning my husband and I met up with some college friends for a yummy breakfast before heading back toward Seattle to photograph Susie and Joey's stunning wedding at the Olson Mansion. Their wedding was absolutely lovely and there was pure joy all around as these two tied the knot! I had quite the marathon, but it was so worth it! Thanks to all three couples for letting me be part of your special days :)

Family: Jennifer, Daniel & Ollie

This was an especially fun photo session for me because Jen and Daniel have been friends since our days at UW! They have a beautiful lab named Ollie and we all met up at Lincoln Park for some family photos. My husband came with and acted as dog entertainer when we were taking pictures of just Jen and Daniel. After the session we went out to dinner...a fun evening all around!

Engaged: Chrissie & Aaron

I had so much fun with Chrissie and Aaron! We went to the Arboretum, one of my all-time favorite places to shoot, and explored a bit. They are such fun and they're a great match for one another. I can't wait to shoot their wedding on 8-8-08! They are also musicians, so if you're looking for a wind quintet for your wedding or other event, look no further! Their website is: www.winds.studiomusicale.com. We got lots of great shots, here's a small sampling. Enjoy!

Sara & Luke's Trash the Dress (well, kind of...)

I had a blast shooting Sara and Luke's wedding last month and we go some great images in the rain (a few posts back). We also met up for a post-wedding shoot at the Olympic Sculpture Park to take some photos with a fun, sexy and dramatic flair. We didn't 'trash' Sara's gorgeous dress, but we did have her climbing rocks, rolling in the grass and getting in the cold water...so it definitely needs to be sent to the dry cleaners asap ;) I love this new trend in wedding photography because we get a chance to do more risque and fun stuff than we're often able to on the wedding day. If you're interested in this kind of photoshoot contact me for more information. We took a LOT of pictures, but here's a sampling:

Isn't she gorgeous?

Time to get in the water...did I mention it was cold!

They also brought their adorable dog Lola along for some pictures...

Why exactly are we in the water?

Married: Sarah & Weston

I had a wonderful time shooting Sarah and Weston's wedding at the Center for Urban Horticulture on UW's campus. They are both alumni and had a fun purple and gold theme (I'm also an alum and loved it...go Huskies!). They planned a beautiful and intimate ceremony and reception. It was a gorgeous and joyful day! More pictures coming soon, but in the meantime here's a few sneak peek images:

Married: Shawna & Sam

I made a trip over to Port Gamble a couple weeks ago to photograph Shawna and Sam's beautiful wedding. They married in a gorgeous and quaint church in a lovely ceremony with a reception overlooking the water. Their wedding was full of lots of wonderful details and they threw an excellent party for their guests. It was difficult (as usual) for me to narrow it down to five sneak peek images, but here are a few (more pictures coming soon):

UPDATE: Shawna and Sam's pictures are ready! Here's a slideshow of their day:

Engaged: Kristi & Jason

I had so much fun with Kristi and Jason last week! They are naturals in front of the camera and they are such wonderful people to be around. It also helps that they are head over heels for each other :) I also got to meet Jason's fantastic kids, Conner and Sinead, as they joined us for some family photo time. Here's a few from their session:
